Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2003 Fender American "Nashville" B-Bender Telecaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Upgraded from stock, this Tele has been rewired with a traditional Telecaster pickup complement and fitted with an aged white pearloid pickguard. Now loaded with a pair of Fender's Custom Shop Texas Special single coils, the Tele features the Parsons-Green B-Bender system which has been modified by Gene Parsons himself with the Long Stroke option that extends the B-Bender's range.

This USA-made Tele utilizes the front strap button as the vehicle for engaging the B-Bender mechanism. The Parsons-Green system is perfect for emulating smooth pedal steel-esque bends and twangy, glassy pitch shifts, further enhanced by the Long Stroke mod. The Texas Special pickups deliver plenty of chewy twang and smooth, bell-like chime, with a distinct sound in every setting on the three-way switch. Weighing 9lbs 7oz with an alder body, this Tele is versatile and incredibly fun to play, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with 10-46 strings.

The maple neck features a medium C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .885" at the 12th. The modern 9 1/2" radius fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets which have their full factory height, showing light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-8, with slightly more wear beneath the B string in particular on frets 1-4. The nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, upgraded to a hand-carved piece of bone for optimal note clarity and sustain. On the headstock, the chrome Fender-branded Schaller tuners turn very smoothly and hold pitch well, even with heavy use of the B-Bender mechanism.

All of the electronics work as they should, rewired with a traditional three-way switch governing the Custom Shop Texas Special single coils. Beneath the pickguard, the body is routed for the "Nashville" middle pickup. The chrome hardware is positively gleaming including the six-saddle bridge, control plate, knurled knobs, and B-Bender mechanism. There's also a small #/b wheel on the B-Bender to adjust the range of the pitch variation when the unit is engaged.

The gloss Sunburst finish shows one large finish chip adjacent to the input jack, with just a few faint finish scratches and minor nicks on the body as a whole and some pick scuffing on the treble side of the pickguard extending to the corner of the bridge base. The semi-gloss finish on the neck profile is nigh flawless.

A black tolex vintage-style Fender G&G Deluxe hardshell case with raised logo on the exterior is included.
