Up for sale, a 2002 Les Paul Studio Plus in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This Les Paul was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano, featuring a premium flame maple top and special-ordered chrome hardware. Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their best, featuring the highest quality woods, handpicked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.
Tonewoods include a mahogany body, two-piece carved flame maple top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, and this Les Paul weighs 8lbs 12oz. Via the 490R and 498T humbucker pair, the guitar has plenty of power on tap, and these alnico magnet pickups cover a wide tonal range. The 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and similar in its response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T Hot Alnico bridge position pickup has Alnico V magnets, with plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios. This Les Paul Studio Plus has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
