Up for sale, a 2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This upper-tiered “Plus” iteration of the Les Paul Standard features an AAA carved maple cap highlighted by a gloss Honey Burst nitro lacquer finish and a pair of Burstbucker Pro pickups.

Weighing 9lbs 4oz, this Standard features traditional tonewoods including a mahogany body, carved AAA flame maple top, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard. The Burstbucker Pro humbuckers feature Alnico V magnets and deliver an array of traditional PAF-style tonalities, with a dynamic and harmonically rich bridge pickup and a neck position humbucker that is fat and sweet, retaining ideal clarity. This Les Paul Standard Plus has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Honey Burst finish highlights the tight, dimensional figuring that extends evenly across the carved AAA flame maple top. Even by Gibson’s “Plus” top standards, this is a particularly nice cut of maple. There’s some light chipping in the clear coat along the lower bout binding edge and a tiny mark on the bass-side upper bout on the body perimeter, with some additional scattered minor dings and finish scratches. The gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with some light palm wear along the spine behind frets 7-10.

The original Gibson-branded black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the original pickguard and serialized hangtag.
