Up for sale, a 2002 Gibson Les Paul Classic in perfect working order, complete with a molded hardshell case. Designed to evoke the look and feel of a 1960 Les Paul Standard, the Classic boasts many features notable to that era of Les Paul production, including a slimmer neck profile, push-in tuner bushings, and a correct ‘50s headstock shape. One of the rarer finish options for a Classic produced in the early '00s, the Cherry nitro lacquer gloss is most closely associated with George Harrison's Les Paul "Lucy," which he famously received from Eric Clapton.
Weighing 9lbs 15oz, this Les Paul features the classic tonewood complement of a two-piece carved maple top, mahogany body, and a one-piece mahogany neck capped by a bound rosewood fretboard. Offering plenty of resonance, natural sustain and acoustic bark, this Les Paul is loaded with the original 496R and 500T humbucker pair. Some of Gibson's most hotly wound ceramic magnet humbuckers, the 496R delivers a biting, bluesy edge with notable treble detail and an increase in harmonics, while the 500T delivers a rich combination of enhanced lows and crystal clear highs, wax-potted for ideal feedback rejection in high gain scenarios. This Les Paul Classic has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Cherry nitro lacquer finish exhibits some natural playwear, including a number of minor nicks on the body as a whole, buckle rash on the back (including through the gloss along the bass-side edge), and various pick marks and additional small dings on top. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a handful of shallow marks along the profile length that don't distract the palm while fretting.
An SKB molded hardshell case is included.
