Up for sale, a 2002 Fender Jazz Bass ‘75 vintage reissue model JB75-90US in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag. An upscale Jazz Bass model produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market (and now discontinued), this "Crafted in Japan" Jazz Bass features a bound rosewood fretboard with pearloid block inlay, and most importantly, factory-installed USA Fender pickups.

Weighing 9lbs 2oz with an ash body, the bass offers plenty of punch, midrange emphasis and strong note attack. The pickups are the same pair used on Fender’s American Standard Jazz Bass line; there's a growl and clarity to the bridge pickup, balanced by the fuller thump of the neck position single coil, and many of the instrument's best tones come from finding the perfect blend between the two. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Jazz Bass is strung with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a medium depth U-shaped profile carve with full shoulders in all registers, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .960" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearloid block inlay and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. This bass plays cleanly in all registers up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The stock bone nut measures 1 1/2” in width. The headstock features vintage-style Fender tuners with full-size baseplates and clover buttons, and the P-prefix serial number is just below the era-accurate block Jazz Bass logo. The "Crafted in Japan" text is present above the three-bolt F-embossed neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, with the USA-made pickups governed by Jazz Bass-standard Volume/Volume/Tone controls. The chrome-plated hardware is all notably clean, including the control plate and bridge with barrel saddles. Plastics comprise the original trio of knobs and the three-ply black pickguard, which still retains the factory protective film and “Vintage USA Pickup” sticker. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish is limited to one small mark on the top at the arm contour, a few marks on the treble-side lower bout perimeter, and a pair of dings on the back central to the lower bout. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original gigbag is included.
