Up for sale, a 2002 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-75US in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This upper-tiered “Crafted in Japan” Jazz Bass was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring factory-installed USA-made pickups, a custom color Lake Placid Blue finish, and vintage-spec touches including full-size tuner baseplates and spiral bridge saddles.

Tonewoods include an alder body and a maple neck capped by a slab rosewood fretboard, and this bass 8lbs 14oz. The USA-made single coil pickups offer punchy mids and articulate growl, with a clear treble response and plenty of broad thump when the Tone knob is rolled back to taste. This JB62-75US has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss finish is referred to in the catalog as "Old Lake Placid Blue," representing a more icy and vintage-correct shade than previous Fender Japan offerings. The clear coat has yellowed slightly, pushing the color towards Ocean Turquoise, and cosmetic wear includes light buckle wear on the back, a few small finish chips and marks along the lower bout perimeter, and a few additional dings consistent with honest use. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a few minor marks on the shoulders of the carve behind frets 1-4.

A gigbag is included.
