Up for sale, a 2002 Fender Jazz Bass '62 vintage reissue model JB62 in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This 1962 reissue Jazz Bass was made only for the Japanese domestic market at the Dyna Gakki factory and is rarely seen outside its country of origin. The fit and finish of the "Crafted in Japan" instruments rivals Fender's American Vintage line, and both acoustically and plugged in, this Jazz Bass is an impressive instrument. Weighing 9lbs 3oz, the bass has plenty of midrange presence and articulate growl, and rolling back the tone control yields ample thump. Dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with roundwound 45-100 strings, this Jazz Bass plays well with comfortable action and spot-on intonation.The one-piece maple neck has a round medium C profile carve with lightly rolled fretboard edges, gaining a hair more heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .950" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard is a thick, dark slab with a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius and original slender frets that have their full factory height, showing virtually no wear and playing cleanly up the 34" scale. The neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. The nut measures 1 1/2" in width, and on the headstock, the original clover button chrome tuning machines are intact. The lightly ambered peghead sports the correct '62-style Fender Jazz Bass decal, and the back of the headstock has a third strap button, keeping things period correct down to the smallest details.All of the electronics work as they should, and the chrome hardware has great shine, with just a hint of patina on the control plate. The clean dark reddish brown tortoise pickguard contrasts nicely with the vibrant three-tone Sunburst gloss finish, and there's barely a scratch on the body. The smooth ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is equally pristine.A gigbag is included
