Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2001 Jackson USA Select Soloist SL2H in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and paperwork. Part of Jackson's USA Select series of instruments, this SL2H boasts neck through maple body construction, alder body wings, and a slab ebony fretboard. Made for speed, sustain, and tonal versatility, this Jackson is loaded with a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, with a SH-1N '59 in the neck position and a TB-4 JB at the bridge. In many circles considered the ideal pairing of two of Seymour Duncan's most popular humbucker designs, these pickups offer a broad sonic range, with vintage-flavored PAF-style detail and harmonic richness at the neck. The JB delivers an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords but translates to a singing, vocal-like quality when you play single notes or solos. Weighing 8lbs 3oz, this Jackson positively sings with near endless sustain, low action, and fresh 10-46 strings.

The maple neck has a medium D-shaped profile carve with prominent, comfortably rounded shoulders, measuring .845” deep at the 1st fret and .905” at the 12th. The 24 fret ebony fretboard features pearl shark fin inlay and pristine stock jumbo fretwire. The fretboard has a compound 12-16" radius, the locking nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the scale length is a full 25 1/2". On the bound headstock, the original Jackson-branded black tuning machines are intact, complete with mounted tool kit on the back.

The straightforward electronics work as intended, with Master Volume and Tone controls, as well as a three-way pickup selector switch governing the Seymour Duncan pickup pair. The stock full-size CTS pots date to 2000. The black hardware is in great shape with just a touch of patina on the bridge adjustment screws, and the Floyd Rose locking tremolo is complete with the original arm. Cosmetic wear is limited to faith pick scuffing at the bass side of the path, and a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss Black finish. The gloss finish on the neck profile is pristine.

The original Jackson hardshell case is included, along with a hangtag and paperwork from Jackson's Japanese distributor (this guitar was sold new in Japan in '01).
