Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2001 Fender American Vintage '62 Jaguar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with hangtags/case candy and a Fender G&G hardshell case. Finished in Inca Silver, this custom color was only offered on this model in 2001, and the clear coat has gently yellowed, presenting closer to Shoreline Gold. Introduced in 1999, this early custom color American Vintage '62 Jaguar model is from an era of production when Jaguar shipping totals were extremely small.

This Jaguar has a traditional tonewood complement with an alder body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard, delivering a clear, authoritative natural acoustic tone. Plugged in, this Jag delivers the goods, retaining the original pair of black bobbin single coil pickups with lightly beveled flat-pole alnico magnets. The American Vintage '62 pickups are a bit rounder and fuller in the midrange than later Fender Jaguar pickup winds, retaining plenty of twang and snap in the top end, with the slightly aggressive chime and sinewy snarl that sets this model apart. Offering plenty of sparkling cut and percussive snap, this Jaguar is quite versatile. Engage the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn for darker, meatier tones, or flip the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for thinner tic-tac sounds. This Jaguar weighs 8lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Offset Fender instruments, strung with 11-49 roundwound strings and dialed in for low action and accurate intonation.

The nitro lacquer Inca Silver finish is a rare custom color option, and the clear coat has yellowed lightly, shifting the color closer to Shoreline Gold. Cosmetic wear is limited to some dings localized along the lower bout body edge, and just a few additional light finish scuffs and tiny marks on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, with only a couple small, shallow marks on the profile length.

A black tolex Fender G&G Deluxe hardshell case is included, along with a couple original hangtags, cable, and bridge cover.
