Up for sale, a 2001 Epiphone Casino in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Crafted at the Peerless factory in Korea, this uncommon and discontinued iteration of the Casino stacks up well against the Elitist line, featuring a gloss Natural finish.
Notable for its full 1 11/16" nut width (a feature surprisingly uncommon on many Casino reissues), this guitar's fully hollow all-maple body has an articulate and airy tone, capturing both the clear note attack of maple as a tonewood and the warmth of the hollow construction. The P-90 pickups are wound to vintage spec with plenty of midrange bark, delivering a glassy, percussive quality. Whether you seek dynamic cleans or thick overdrive, these pickups can produce either with ease. The guitar is featherweight at 5lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, dialed in for optimal action and intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Slender C, measuring .780” 1st fret, .885” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, pearloid parallelogram inlay
-Frets: Medium jumbo, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style
Body Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Pickups: Dogear P-90 x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone x2, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: ABR-1 bridge, trapeze tailpiece
-Plastics: Gold reflector cap knobs, three-ply pickguard with “E” Epsilon badge
-Serialization: R01-prefix on oval label
This is a clean example, with just a few faint marks on the gloss Natural finish. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with a few similarly small marks on the bass-side shoulder behind frets 1-5. There is also a small finish chip on the bass-side edge of the peghead face.
The original black tolex hardshell case with gold silkscreen “E” epsilon on the lid is included.
