Up for sale, a left-handed 2000s Mosrite Ventures Model Super Custom ’65 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. Ever seen a left-handed Mosrite? We hadn’t either. Crafted by KuroKumo in Japan, this exceedingly rare left-handed Ventures Model was only made available to the domestic Japanese market.
KuroKumo-made Mosrites are sought after for their masterful build quality and attention to detail, and this Super Custom ’65 replicates all the essential features of the early Ventures Model instruments, with smooth knobs, a sandcast Vibramute tailpiece, and prominent German Carve on the basswood body. The pickup pair is wound to vintage spec, metering at 13.7k ohms in both pickup positions and offering plenty of treble-centric authority, rich midrange growl, and round low-end bark. Weighing 8lbs 7oz, this Super Custom ’65 Ventures Model has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
