Up for sale, a 2000s Mosrite Ventures Model Super Custom 65 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. Crafted at the KuroKumo factory in Japan, this exceedingly rare upscale iteration of the Ventures model features a gloss Pearl White finish, white plastics, and gold-plated hardware throughout including the Vibramute tailpiece.

As one of two companies competing within Japan and offering instruments under the Mosrite name, this model was likely designed to provide a direct contrast to the similarly spec'd Mosrite "Glamorous" model produced by rival Fillmore. KuroKumo-made Mosrites are sought after for their masterful build quality and attention to detail, and this Super Custom 65 replicates all the essential features of the '60s Ventures Model instruments. The pickup pair is wound to vintage spec, metering at 13.7k ohms in both pickup positions and offering plenty of round treble-centric authority, rich midrange growl and round low end bark. Weighing 8lbs 6oz, this Mosrite has been setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, easy-playing action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Pearl White finish exhibits uniform yellowing of the clear coat, and this Mosrite is exceedingly well-kept, with just one small (nearly imperceptible) shallow mark north of the bridge on top, and no additional wear of note. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original Mosrite of California faux alligator hardshell case is included, along with the original hangtag.
