Up for sale, a 2000's Mosrite Ventures Model Mk I 1965 vintage reissue electric guitar model VM1965 in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This rare reissue replicates all the essential features of early Mosrite Ventures Model instruments, with smooth knobs, a sandcast Vibramute tailpiece, and prominent German Carve on the basswood body. The stock pair of single coil pickups have ample power and midrange content, wound properly to vintage-spec and both reading 13.5k ohms, providing an authoritative sound that's quintessential Mosrite. Weighing 8lbs, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

Few guitars have a more storied history than the Mosrite brand, especially in the modern era, and this particular model is a rarely seen reissue crafted by Fillmore in Japan. Perhaps best known for being imported to the USA by Ed Roman and purportedly sold as "USA-made," this Mosrite is one of Fillmore's earlier models with the "Mosrite of California" headstock nomenclature, also retaining the Ventures Model text. Boasting incredible fit and finish work, this Fillmore-made Mosrite is an extremely finely crafted instrument worthy of Semie Moseley's legacy.

The maple neck has a round C-shaped profile carve with more substance than most Mosrite necks, measuring .875” at the 1st fret and .930” at 12th. On the bound dark rosewood fretboard, the slender frets have fret edge binding and their full factory height, showing virtually no wear. A faithful reissue in every respect, this Mosrite boasts a 24 3/4" scale length and 1 9/16" fretboard width at the zero fret just forward of the aluminum nut. The headstock retains the "Mosrite of California" text and Ventures Model logo, featuring Kluson-style single line tuners with tiny "Mosrite" text central to the gear housings. The serial number is stamped on the last fret into the rosewood, just like vintage examples.

On the body, all of the stock electronics work as they should, with the original single coil pickups metering at 13.5k ohms in both positions. The '65 look is rounded out with a pale mint green three-ply pickguard, Mosrite-embossed pickup covers, and chrome-plated metal Mosrite knobs machined with smooth tops (the design that predated the more common "M" knobs). The “Vibramute” vibrato is extremely smooth and elegant, touch-sensitive in its responsiveness and made to exacting vintage spec with a sandcast base and chrome plated string anchor and arm. The vibrato arm even has the subtle "elbow" seen on early Ventures Models, a testament to all the tiny details faithfully captured by Fillmore on this model.

The gloss Black finish highlights the prominent German Carve, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple tiny nicks on the lower bout on top, and one similarly small mark adjacent to the neck plate on the back. The neck profile is flawless.

The original black tolex hardshell case with black leather ends is included.
