Up for sale, a 2000s Mosrite Ventures Model Bass Custom ‘65 vintage reissue in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. This uncommon instrument was produced by Kurokumo, an official Mosrite licensee in Japan for a number of decades, and this bass sports an Ink Blue refinish with white pinstriping around the perimeter.

A short scale affair with a 30 1/2" scale length, this Mosrite is strung with 45-105 roundwound strings, and the basswood body (just like the original '60 Ventures Models) offers a smooth, even-sounding tonal platform for the pair of single coil pickups. Delivering growl and round punch, the pickups meter at 7.8k ohms and 8.3k ohms (neck, bridge respectively), offering a distinctive tonal response with great midrange character. This Mosrite weighs 8lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and spot-on intonation.
