2000s Maxon AF-9 Auto Filter Guitar Effects Pedal, Japan

Up for sale, a 2000s Maxon AF-9 Auto Filter pedal in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Produced in Japan, this Maxon pedal delivers wonderfully funky auto-wah and sweep effects. Designed to duplicate the tones of the iconic Mu-Tron III, the AF-9 uses special optical circuitry to recreate the watery, vowel-like envelope filtering that made the Mu-Tron a staple of ‘70s funk and soul. Controls include Sensitivity and Peak sliders, with Filter, Drive, and Range switches. Sensitivity determines how much pick attack is required to engage the AF-9, while Peak controls the center frequency of the filter and affects how pronounced the wah sweeps are. The three-way Filter switch selects between Low Pass, Band Pass, and High Pass. The two-way Drive switch determines the direction of the sweep (Up/Down), and the two-way Range switch determines the overall frequency of the filter (High/Low). This pedal is in exceptional condition, with just a few tiny marks on the enclosure, clean graphics, and a flawless serialized foil label on the bottom.
