Up for sale, a 2000 Ibanez J. Custom RG1880 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This rare Ibanez was produced at the Fujigen factory in Japan as part of the premium J. Custom series, featuring a AAAA flame maple top highlighted by a Vintage Violin finish (only available in 2000), HSH trio of DiMarzio pickups, and a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo.
Tonewoods include a mahogany body, three-piece maple neck, and bound 24-fret rosewood fretboard, weighing 9lbs 1oz. The humbucker in the bridge position is a DiMarzio Tone Zone, a bold and powerful high-output pickup that offers great low end and lower-midrange response to ensure the tone stays full and fat. The neck humbucker is a DiMarzio Air Norton, a warm, open-sounding pickup designed with a unique magnetic structure to reduce string pull and increase sustain while maintaining dynamic feel and responsiveness to user inputs. The central single coil is a DiMarzio Blue Velvet, designed for optimal fullness and string-to-string balance, blending well with the humbuckers at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. This J. Custom RG1880 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
