Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2000 Greco LP Custom electric guitar in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made in Japan, this uncommon “Black Beauty” iteration truly delivers the goods, with faithful attention to vintage Gibson spec. With multi-ply headstock and body binding, split diamond headstock inlay, gold hardware, and a gloss Ebony finish, the essential aesthetic details are in place.

Clearly a direct response to the '68 Les Paul Custom, this model is lively and powerful sounding, displaying outstanding craftsmanship with great playability and a classic range of Les Paul tones. The Classic Screamin’ humbuckers are full and punchy, with a nice round low end for the neck position and midrange-forward, cutting bridge position. Weighing 8lbs 10oz, we;ve had this guitar dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action, solid intonation, and 10-46 strings.

The neck has a modestly chunky '50s-style medium C-shaped profile carve with good shoulder, measuring .860” deep at the 1st fret and .960” at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearl block inlay, a 12” radius, truss rod adjustment at the heel, and pristine stock medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 24 3/4“, and the nut measures 1 11/16“ in width. The bound headstock features a unique "haircut" top edge, with pearloid split diamond inlay and stock gold tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

On the body, all of the electronics work as they should, with a three-way pickup selector toggle and individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup. The pickups retain their “Classic Screamin’” stickers on the baseplates. All original plastics are accounted for, including a quartet of witch hat knobs, and a multi-ply pickguard with some requisite pick scuffing. Gold plated hardware includes an ABR-1-style bridge and matching stopbar, with light surface patina mostly relegated to the pickup covers.

The factory clear protective plastic is intact on the rear control cavity covers, a testament to the limited use this guitar has seen in the last two decades, and cosmetic wear on the gloss Ebony finish is limited to faint finish scratches mostly relegated to the central back of body. The neck profile is pristine.

The original Greco-branded padded gigbag is included.
