Up for sale, a 2000 Gibson Les Paul Gothic in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Produced from 2000-2002, the Gothic series instruments feature sleek all-black aesthetics. This particular Les Paul Gothic was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano; Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their absolute best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body, carved maple top, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard, and this Les Paul Gothic weighs 8lbs 13oz. The 490R and 498T Alnico magnet humbuckers cover tons of tonal ground: the 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and a similar response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T bridge pickup has Alnico V construction, yielding plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios. This Les Paul Gothic has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The smooth satin Flat Black nitro lacquer finish exhibits subtle checking, and cosmetic wear is limited to one small ding on the perimeter adjacent to the output jack, a scuff by the pickup selector switch, and a couple small marks on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean save for two shallow nicks behind fret 7 that are not distracting to the palm while fretting. There are also a couple small finish chips on the top peghead edge.

The original Gibson USA brown tolex hardshell case is included, along with the Gibson/Yamano hangtags.
