Up for sale, a 2000 Fender Fretless Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-77FL in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan for the Japanese domestic market and select international territories, this model captures the feel and look of Jaco Pastorious' famed J Bass.

The bass is loaded with a pair of factory-installed USA-made pickups, and vintage-spec hardware includes long stem clover button tuners and spiral bridge saddles. Tonewoods comprise an alder body and a maple neck capped with a lined slab rosewood fretboard. This bass can deliver plenty of growl, burp, and treble presence via the single coil pair. The signal can be throaty and punchy with the Tone knob rolled off and the neck pickup favored, or dial up the bridge pickup for a more midrange forward tone. This bass weighs 9lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 D’Addario Chromes flatwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium U, full shoulders, measuring .860” at nut, .975” at octave
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius, light string wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 1/2”, bone
-Tuners: Long stem, clover button, nickel plated
-Serialization: “Crafted in Japan,” O-prefix

Body Specs:

-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: JB-Vintage single coil x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone
-Hardware: Bridge base with spiral (threaded) saddles

The three-tone Sunburst finish is accurate to vintage-spec with a burst that is only two-tone beneath the area where a pickguard would typically be mounted. Cosmetic wear is limited to a handful of minor dings on the body as a whole, most prominent along the lower bout perimeter and on the bass side of the top.

A padded gigbag is included.
