Up for sale, a 2000 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Jazz Bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original G&G brown tolex hardshell case. While the features of this bass seem conventional, it's actually quite uncommon to see any '60s spec American Vintage Fender Jazz Bass produced from 1982-2012 with a three knob configuration. The vast majority produced had stack knob controls, and this particular Jazz Bass features the Volume/Volume/Tone configuration introduced on the model in '62. This USA-made bass was custom-ordered by Fender's Japanese distributor Yamano for sale in the Japanese market.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, offering equal parts low end warmth and midrange cut, with the smooth growl and upper midrange burp of the bridge pickup and a fuller thump at the neck. Combined, the two pickups produce an array of sounds appropriate for virtually any live or recording situation, from punchy and immediate to wide and rumbling. This American Vintage ‘62 Jazz Bass weighs 9lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

The Lake Placid Blue nitro lacquer finish is a pale, icy application, with subtle greening of the clear coat. There are a few small chips along the lower bout perimeter, some shallow buckle wear, and a couple tiny dings on the back. The ambered nitro gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original G&G Deluxe brown tolex hardshell case is included.
