Up for sale, a 2000 Fender Telecaster ‘62 vintage reissue Dr. K signature model TL62B-125DK in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. This exceedingly rare “Crafted in Japan” Telecaster is the signature model of Hirofumi Tokutake, aka Dr. K, produced in very limited quantities and loaded with unique features including two Lace Sensor Gold single coil pickups, a Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue bridge pickup, and a Hipshot Will Ray Helle-Bender B-Bender bridge.
Tonewoods comprise an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, yielding an articulate, balanced acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the versatile pickup complement. The Lace Sensor Gold pickups in the neck and middle positions feature a unique radiant Field Barrier system that surrounds both the coil and magnets, reducing 60-cycle hum; the patented Lace Micro Combs replace traditional bobbins, giving the player a wider tonal range and better string-to-string balance than traditional pickups. The Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue signature bridge pickup features Alnico 2 rod magnets and a special coil wind designed for increased sustain and output. This pickup delivers a sweet musical character and a solid dose of Tele twang, with raised D&G string poles for an even string-to-string response. This TL62B-125DK weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
