Up for sale, a 2000 Epiphone Casino in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Crafted at the Peerless factory in Korea, this uncommon and discontinued iteration of the Casino stacks up well against the Elitist line.

Acoustically, the fully hollow all-maple body has an articulate and airy tone, capturing both the clear note attack of maple as a tonewood and the warmth of the hollow construction. The P-90 pickups are wound to vintage spec with plenty of midrange bark, delivering a glassy, percussive quality. Whether you seek dynamic cleans or thick overdrive, these pickups can produce either with ease and with a refinement beyond most other modern Casino reissues. The guitar is featherweight at only 6lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and dialed in for optimal action and intonation with 9-42 roundwound strings.

The neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders in every register, measuring .780" deep at the 1st fret and .880" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearloid parallelogram inlay and original medium jumbo frets which have their full factory height and plenty of meat, showing only a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-4. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, consistent with spec for pre-1965 Casino models, and a feature that's surprisingly uncommon on Casino iterations. The headstock retains the original Kluson-style tuners, turning smoothly and holding pitch well.

The electronics are untouched, the chrome plated hardware is positively gleaming, and stock plastics include the quartet of reflector cap knobs and pickguard with raised "E" epsilon. The orange oval label is visible through the F hole, dating the instrument's production to 2000. The Sunburst finish is vibrant and glossy, highlighting light flame figuring on top behind the bridge. Cosmetic wear is limited to only a few faint finish scratches on the body as a whole, and the gloss on the neck profile is pristine.

This Epiphone Casino is professionally setup, and a rare, discontinued iteration made at the Peerless factory to exacting standards.

The original black tolex hardshell case with Epiphone "E" gold silkscreen on the lid is included.
