Up for sale, a 1999 Santa Cruz F Model mini jumbo acoustic guitar in showroom clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A celebrated and enduring USA-made boutique brand, Santa Cruz's F Model is prized as one of their most versatile models, purposefully voiced to excel at both flatpicking and fingerstyle use, with a sonic profile designed to eschew any unwanted boominess that sometimes accompanies the Jumbo body size. While the F body Santa Cruz guitars are offered with a plethora of tonewoods, this particular custom-ordered instrument features numerous unique upgrades over the basic F platform including deeply figured flame maple back, sides, and neck, a solid German (Engelmann) spruce top, Sunburst finish, OM-shaped V neck profile carve, 1 11/16" nut width, and Deco fan fretboard and headstock inlay. The ebony fingerboard ensures a glassy treble response, enhancing the already dynamic and lively tonal character of the instrument. Each note rings out with near endless sustain and a piano string-like clarity, with a superbly rich underlying bold warmth and sweet, sparkling detail. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Santa Cruz is dialed in with 12-53 strings and comfortable action. The two-piece maple neck has a medium-depth "OM-Shaped V" profile carve, measuring .860” deep at the 1st fret and .945” at the 9th. The bound ebony fretboard features Art Deco fan inlay and pristine stock slender fretwire. The scale length measures a full 25.375", and the carved bone nut is 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features a bound ebony veneer inlaid with a pearl Santa Cruz logo and Art Deco fan inlay, fitted with original Schaller chrome tuning machines with carved ebony buttons. The ebony bridge sits flush with the top, and the original compensated bone saddle has good height. The soundhole is accented by a small tortoise pickguard, and the top and rosette are framed by multi-ply purfling. Stunningly well-kept for over two decades, cosmetic wear is limited to a few light pick scuffs across the guard. The neck profile has a smooth, pristine gloss finish. The original hardshell case is included.
