Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1999 Rickenbacker 4001V63 vintage reissue left-handed bass in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A discontinued model, the 4001V63 faithfully captures the look and feel of Rickenbacker's '60s 4001 model, featuring a Toaster Top neck pickup, Horseshoe bridge pickup, dot fretboard inlay, and elegant body contours without binding. This particular bass is also notable for its highly figured flame maple neck, as more sedate cuts of maple are the norm.

The 4001V63 offers a truly distinct sound that's deeper and thicker than other 4001 (and 4003) models, and while the 4001V63 still has Rickenbacker's present midrange growl and note attack, the sound can also be thumpier. Particularly resonant acoustically and yielding ample sustain given the neck through body construction, this 4001V63 weighs 9lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh roundwound 45-100 strings, comfortable action and spot-on intonation.
