Up for sale, a 1999 Ibanez PGM30 electric guitar in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original Ibanez gigbag. A signature model for guitarist Paul Gilbert, this discontinued Ibanez was crafted in Japan and features distinctive painted faux “F-holes,” a reverse headstock, and an HSH array of Ibanez Infinity pickups.

The Infinity 1 in the neck position is versatile and responsive, with ceramic magnet construction and healthy output, articulate for rhythm work and retaining a tight, clear sound when overdriven. The Infinity 2 bridge pickup provides a nice contrast, featuring Alnico V magnets and wound to an incredibly hot 16k ohms, designed to retain clarity and articulation while handling high gain with aplomb. The pickup trio is rounded out by an Infinity single coil in the middle position, offering chiming cleans when soloed, and added snap and cut when paired with either humbucker. The guitar weighs 8lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fast action and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has Ibanez's Wizard profile, a slender and fast-feeling D shape with good shoulder and rolled fretboard edges, measuring .720” deep at the 1st fret and .860” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has dot inlay, and the original jumbo frets are in great shape. The frets have their full height and meat, with just a hint of wear almost exclusively beneath the High E string. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the 24 fret range with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the locking nut measures 1 11/16“ in width, holding tune exceptionally well against the most dynamic of dive bombs. The reverse headstock has a clean Ibanez logo and black set of “Made in Japan” Gotoh tuners that turn smoothly.

The simple electronics work as they should, with a single Master Volume control and a five-way selector switch discreetly placed within the treble side “F-hole” graphic. The black hardware shows uniform patina, aside from the trem arm, and the Lo TRS II Floyd Rose-licensed locking tremolo functions very elegantly for deep dives and expressive gestures. The white finish has light uniform yellowing of the clear coat, and there's barely a scratch on it. The neck profile is pristine with a smooth satin finish.

The original Ibanez gigbag is included.
