Up for sale, a 1999 Gibson Les Paul Standard in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This early modern Standard hails from what is increasingly known as the "good wood era," loaded with a pair of 490R/498T humbuckers and boasting a gloss Honeyburst nitro lacquer finish.
Traditional tonewoods include a carved, bookmatched two-piece maple top, solid mahogany body, and one-piece mahogany neck, and this Les Paul has a lively, powerful acoustic voice, weighing 10lbs 3oz. The 490R and 498T humbuckers have a wide tonal palette, with the Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup offering more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup has a cut and snarl that cuts through with classic Gibson roar. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Les Paul Standard has low action, accurate intonation, and fresh 10-46 strings.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: '60-style C (medium depth), measuring .825” 1st fret, .980” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Bound rosewood, pearloid flared trapezoid inlays
-Frets: Medium jumbo, faint wear beneath the plain strings on frets 2-3
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”
-Tuners: Grover Rotomatics
-Serialization: Eight-digit stamp dates to ‘99
Body Specs:
