Up for sale, a 1999 Fender Stratocaster ‘57 vintage reissue model ST57-58US in excellent, 100% original condition and perfect working order, complete with factory installed Fender American Vintage 57/62 pickups. Crafted in Japan, this guitar was made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, rarely seen outside its country of origin. The basswood body is paired with a one-piece maple neck, ensuring a balanced, snappy acoustic tone, and the factory-installed Fender USA pickups match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, staggered alnico magnets, and cloth-covered leads. Via the five-way switch, these Fender single coils have a sparkling treble cut, tight bass, and a dynamic, clear quality, well-suited for chiming cleans and overdriven sizzle. This Strat weighs 7lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .965” at the 12th. The maple fretboard sports a 7 1/4” radius and pristine vintage-spec slender fret wire that retains its full factory height and well-rounded crowns. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and responsive, well-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16” in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch with light surface patina across the gear housings and buttons. The “Crafted in Japan” script text and P-prefix serial number are present above the four-bolt neck plate. All the electronics function as intended, with the pickups wired to a 5-way pickup selector switch and traditional Strat Volume/Tone/Tone knob configuration. The vibrato has a full-size block for optimal resonance and sustain, and the unit actuates easily and jumps back to the target pitch with ease. The chrome hardware has plenty of shine, and plastics include the one-ply white pickguard, bright white pickup covers, and uniformly yellowed knobs. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Olympic White finish includes a number of minor chips and dings mostly relegated to the back and body perimeter, while the gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.A gigbag is included, along with the plastic tremolo cavity cover and screws.
