Up for sale, a 1999 Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original tweed hardshell case and hangtags. This USA-made Artist Series iteration of Fender’s long-running Malmsteen Strat platform sports a scalloped rosewood fretboard, brass nut, DiMarzio pickups, custom neck profile, and custom color Sonic Blue gloss finish.
This Yngwie Strat has a lively, balanced acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the trio of DiMarzio single coil pickups. In the bridge position is an HS-3 stacked single coil, a perennial DiMarzio favorite, offering hum-free performance with a broad low end that's warm and tight with a smooth, glassy treble response. The YJM DP217 stacked single coils at the neck and middle positions were designed specifically for Malmsteen, expanding on the HS-3 platform with just a touch more brilliance and presence, particularly on the plain strings. This Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
