1999 Epiphone Sheraton II Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar, Vintage White w/ Case

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 1999 Epiphone Sheraton II semi-hollowbody electric guitar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Boasting gold hardware and two full-size humbuckers, this Sheraton covers all the tonal bases of your favorite ES-335, with maple semi-hollowbody construction (hollow wings with a center block for added sustain and reduced feedback). Unplugged, the sound is warm and resonant, and via the humbuckers ths Sheraton delivers plenty of richness, with more bite in the bridge position and round, jazzy tones at the neck. The guitar weighs 8lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The neck has a slender D-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder in every register, measuring .805" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard features multi-ply binding and pearl block inlay split by abalone Vs, and the original medium jumbo fretwire has fret edge binding. The frets show only light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-6, retaining their full factory height and plenty of meat, playing easily in every register. The scale length is 24 3/4", and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features Epiphone's Tree of Life inlay, with a Gibson-branded truss rod cover and Schaller-style gold tuning machines. The S9 prefix serial number dates the instrument to 1999.

All of the electronics work as they should, with individual Volume and Tone controls for each of the humbuckers, coupled with a three-way pickup selector toggle. The gold hardware shows uniform surface patina, including the Nashville-style bridge and corresponding stopbar. The transparent tortoise pickguard with Epsilon badge and quartet of deeply ambered bonnet knobs round out the plastic parts, complimenting the Ebony gloss finish. The gloss finish has gently aged to a shade of cream on the top and neck profile, with a brighter shade of white on the back and rims, framed by ambered binding. Extremely well-kept, cosmetic wear is limited to some requisite pick scuffing across the guard, and just a few minor nicks and light finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile is flawless.

The original black tolex hardshell case with gold plush interior is included.
