Up for sale, a 1999 Epiphone by Gibson Les Paul Standard in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan at the Fujigen factory, this Epiphone was a result of the longstanding partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor, Yamano-Gakki. This particular Les Paul has been upgraded with a pair of Seymour Duncan ‘59 SH-1 PAF humbuckers and a new wiring harness with USA-spec 500k CTS pots.

Designed only to be sold within the Japanese domestic market and featuring Gibson's "open book" headstock shape, this uncommon Epiphone iteration of the classic Les Paul Standard platform features a carved two-piece maple top, solid mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck with a long tenon joint, and a bound rosewood fretboard. The upgraded pair of Seymour Duncan ‘59 SH-1 humbuckers are wound in the vein of the Gibson's golden age PAF, delivering the open, detailed sound of that iconic design with warm, airy lows and and clear trebles that offer a rich growl when overdriven. This Les Paul weighs 8lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Ice Tea Sunburst finish exhibits some finish chips along the body perimeter, buckle rash on the bass side of the back, and several minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a cluster of shallow marks behind frets 9-12 that have no impact on playability.

The original padded gigbag is included.
