1999 Epiphone by Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Electric Guitar, Japan Fujigen

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 1999 Epiphone by Gibson Les Paul Custom in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan at the Fujigen factory, this Epiphone was a result of the longstanding partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor, Yamano-Gakki. Designed only to be sold within the Japanese domestic market and featuring Gibson's "open book" headstock shape, this uncommon Epiphone iteration of the classic Les Paul Custom features a maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard.

The pickups have a PAF-style flavor with sweet, singing highs, warm-yet-tight lows, and a sculpted midrange for optimal clarity, both metering at 7.2k ohms, at the lower end of the PAF spectrum. Weighing 10lbs 5oz and dishing out plenty of natural resonance and sonic authority, this Les Paul Custom has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Ebony finish is framed by multi-ply binding, and cosmetic wear is limited to some scuffing on top along the strum path, faint buckle rash on the back, and just a handful of tiny dings on the body as a whole, largely relegated to the back. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that don't impact playability.

The original Epiphone padded gigbag is included.
