Up for sale, a 1998 Orville Les Paul Custom “Black Beauty” model LPC-75 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and long ago discontinued, this Orville is an official Gibson-licensed guitar and a result of a partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor Yamano Gakki. Named after Gibson's founder, Orville Gibson, this particular guitar was crafted at the Fujigen factory in the last year of Orville production prior to the brand’s dissolution.
Featuring the classic tonewood combination of a solid mahogany body, carved maple top, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard, this guitar dishes out plenty of natural resonance and sustain. The humbuckers are crafted in the low-wind PAF mold, metering at 7.1k ohms at the neck and 7.2k ohms at the bridge, delivering smooth trebles, spongy lows, and a touch-sensitive response, with vital and distinct sounds at each position on the three-way pickup selector switch. This Les Paul Custom LPC-75 weighs 9lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .845” 1st fret, .999” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, block inlays
-Frets: Medium jumbo, light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone
-Tuners: Gotoh, keystone buttons
-Serialization: 8-prefix (1998 production)
Body Specs:
-Wood: Maple, mahogany

The gloss Ebony finish is framed by multi-ply binding, and cosmetic wear includes one chip adjacent to the rear strap button, pick and bracelet-related wear on top, and a number of minor dings and finish scratches on the body, largely relegated to the lower bout on the back. The smooth gloss on the neck profile has a handful of minor nicks that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
A gigbag is included.
