Up for sale, a 1998 Jackson Stars Soloist Limited Edition model SL-TN01 LTD in like-new, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. A rare Japanese domestic market virtually unseen outside of its country of origin, the Jackson Stars instruments are the direct descendants of the Grover Jackson line, expertly crafted at the Chu Shin factory.
This guitar features maple neck-through construction with mahogany body wings, a bookmatched two-piece tiger flame maple top, and a 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard. The Seymour Duncan humbuckers comprise an SH-1 (‘59) in the neck position and a TB-4 JB at the bridge. The SH-1 neck pickup was designed in the spirit of the original PAF, with sweet singing sustain, tight lows, and just enough midrange to deliver full-sounding chords while retaining clarity and articulation. The JB bridge pickup is Duncan’s original hot-rodded humbucker, with powerful low end, crisp, singing highs, and a slight midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords and translates to a singing, vocal-like quality when playing melodic lines. This SL-TN01 weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.
