Up for sale, a 1998 Ibanez J. Custom ‘JC-FW1’ Spot Model in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Part of Ibanez's flagship J. Custom line and crafted at the Fujigen factory, this prototype is rarer than a traditional non-catalog Spot Model (although it still fits that designation), stamped "Sample" alongside its model ID in the neck pocket, featuring a satin finish over a walnut body, bisected on top by a thick strip of heavily flamed maple.

Weighing a comfortable 8lbs 3oz, premium features include a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers and a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo. The DiMarzio DP156 "Humbucker From Hell" is a low-output, hum-canceling neck pickup that delivers the glassy clarity, tight low end, and snappy articulation of a vintage single coil. It is specifically designed to eliminate muddy neck tones in solidbody guitars, making it ideal for bright clean tones, fast shredding, and high-contrast pickup pairings. The Tone Zone at the bridge is a high-output humbucker known for a fat, warm, and aggressive sound with massive low-end and midrange response. This prototype/Spot Model J.Custom has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
