Up for sale, a 1998 Guild D-55 in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This premium iteration of Guild’s flagship acoustic was crafted at the Westerly, RI factory just a few short years before that iconic factory’s closure (and Guild’s subsequent move west under Fender), outfitted from the factory with an active piezo undersaddle pickup.

The solid Sitka top features spruce X-bracing, with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a two-piece mahogany neck, and a bound ebony fingerboard. The dreadnought body shape has a distinctive brilliance and woody, percussive cut. Offering prodigious projection, the wound strings are round and bold, while the plain strings have a sparkling punch, ensuring terrific detail and string-to-string balance. This D-55 weighs 6lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
