From an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production, this Les Paul makes the most of the classic combination of a solid mahogany body, carved two-piece maple top, and genuine ebony fretboard, delivering a bold, muscly acoustic voice with great articulation and warmth. Weighing 10lbs 12oz, this Les Paul has impressive clarity, punch, and midrange presence. The original 490R and 498T humbuckers have a wide tonal palette, with Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup yielding more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup is tailored for gain with plenty of output and roar.
