Up for sale, a 1998 Gibson ES-335 Dot in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This ES-335 hails from an increasingly celebrated era of Gibson production, featuring broad, deep flame figuring extending evenly across the body, and loaded with ‘57 Classic PAF humbuckers.
The semi-hollow maple body construction delivers treble detail and a certain tonal breadth and airiness, qualities translated faithfully via the '57 Classic PAF humbuckers. These pickups offer a smooth bass register, tailored midrange, and sweet, articulate trebles, consistent with Gibson's golden era vintage "Patent Applied For" pickups. The pickups have ample clarity and power, with a slightly hotter bridge pickup and a sweet, round neck position humbucker that has great bloom and complex harmonic content. This ES-335 weighs 8lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

Extremely well kept for over 25 years, the gloss Vintage Sunburst nitro lacquer finish highlights the dimensional broad flame figuring in the maple which extends across the top and back, and even the maple rims have equally prominent, tighter flame. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few light finish scratches and tiny marks, largely on the back, and the guitar has a very faint smokey smell. The neck profile retains its nigh flawless gloss.
