Up for sale, a 1998 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original tweed hardshell case. Modified from stock, this Strat features a satin lacquer Sonic Blue refinish on the body, loaded with a trio of Van Zandt Vintage Plus black bobbin pickups and a replaced harness with 250k CTS pots.
Weighing 7lbs 14oz, tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard, naturally balanced, clear and sweet-sounding. The Van Zandt Vintage Plus single coils feature black fiber bobbins, staggered Alnico V magnets, and cloth-covered leads, channeling the best qualities of an early ‘60s Pre-CBS Strat, with ample sparkle and snap, plus a bit more heft in the midrange. The bridge pickup has a spanky cut, and the neck pickup has a throaty bell-like chime. This Stratocaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
