Up for sale, a 1997 Warwick Streamer LX in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a tweed hardshell case. Warwick is known for utilizing a bevy of premium tonewoods in their builds, and this upscale offering features a two-piece flame maple body with a wenge neck and fingerboard, and a gloss Violet HP finish accented by gold hardware.
The tonewood combination of maple and wenge delivers a bright and extremely articulate natural acoustic tone with ample sustain and a punchy, clear note attack. The pair of MEC Active pickups in the standard P/J configuration offer a tone that’s big and resonant, with a deep, growling low-end that Warwick calls “The Sound of Wood.” Via the active EQ controls and Balance knob, the range of this Streamer LX is particularly broad and comfortably versatile with a variety of genres. Weighing 9lbs 1oz, this Streamer LX has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Wenge
-Shape: Slender D, measuring .735” 1st fret, .945” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Wenge, 20" radius
-Frets: Jumbo, brass, faint wear beneath the E and A strings on frets 1-7
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1.5", brass, “Adjust-a-nut” system
-Tuners: Schaller
-Serialization: 97-suffix stamp (1997 production)
Body Specs:
-Wood: Flame maple
-Pickups: MEC P-bass split-coil, MEC J-bass single coil
-Controls: Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble (center-detent)
-Hardware: Two-piece bridge, dome-top knurled knobs
The gloss Violet HP finish shows only light buckle scuffing on the back of the bass-side horn, some faint finish scratches in the clear coat, and a pair of cleanly doweled and touched-up extra strap button mounting holes. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
A G&G tweed hardshell case is included.
