Up for sale, a 1997 Larrivée C-10 Custom Maple in excellent condition, complete with the original hardshell case. Crafted in Vancouver, British Columbia, this rare iteration of the C-10 boasts an uncommon tonewood combination comprised of heavily figured maple back and sides, a spruce top with Larrivée’s proprietary Symmetrical Parabolic X-bracing, a mahogany neck capped an ebony fingerboard, and an intricate genie headstock inlay.
Weighing 4lbs 4oz, this Larrivée is big and bold-sounding, with a deep bass register that offers up plenty of boom and kick. The maple back and rims ensure a strong note attack, punchy treble response, and smooth, relaxed growl emblematic of a soundboard that's been worked-in over the past few decades. The gloss finish is notably clean, with light touch-up along a repaired center seam on top, some shallow marks on the treble-side lower bout rim and only a few additional tiny nicks and scuffs. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
