Up for sale, a 1997 Gibson ES-335 Dot in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, upgraded with Ron Ellis Signature humbuckers and complete with the original hardshell case. With a deeply figured flame maple body highlighted by an Antique Natural gloss nitro lacquer finish, this ES-335 hails from what is increasingly heralded as Gibson’s “good wood” era.

The ES-335 Dot represents Gibson's first solid attempt at recreating the magic of the late '50s dot neck ES-335, and there's a harmonic complexity, midrange punch, and top end snap that this 335 delivers with aplomb. Strummed acoustically, this ES-335 has a big, broad tone with plenty of treble cut and smooth growl in the bass register, and this rich tonal palette translates well through the pickups. The upgraded Ron Ellis Signature humbuckers are hand-wound by one of the most lauded pickup makers in the business, meticulously designed with proprietary techniques/materials to be the ultimate PAF-style humbucker. These Alnico magnet pickups deliver an ideal blend of warmth, fullness, and single coil-esque clarity. The lows are airy, and the trebles are sweet and singing, resulting in a particularly sonorous, smooth character. This ES-335 Dot weighs 8lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
