Up for sale, a 1997 Fender Jag-Stang in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in Fiesta Red. From the original "Crafted in Japan" run of the Jag-Stang, this Fender is a no-nonsense tool perfectly suited to creating both the distorted churn and raw single coil cut heard across Nirvana's catalog.
Famously known for being designed by Kurt Cobain when he took two polaroids of a Mustang and Jaguar and cut them together, the Jag Stang is in-step with the features of both of these classic short scale Fender models, while also satisfying the higher gain pickup needs of Nirvana's chief architect. The guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
