Up for sale, a 1999 Fender Telecaster Thinline '70 vintage reissue electric guitar in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with upgraded USA-made Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups and a hardshell case. This Crafted in Japan fully loaded Telecaster body is paired with a brand new genuine Fender Telecaster Thinline one-piece maple neck, made in Mexico. One of the rarer Tele models from Fender Japan featuring a semi-hollow mahogany body, this guitar captures the feel and tonal characteristics of a genuine vintage example. Via the upgraded black bobbin Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickup pair, there's plenty of the Tele's traditional bite, twang, and clarity on tap, as well as a warmth and smooth note attack thanks to the body wood and semi-hollow construction. This Tele will growl and cut like few can, while being extremely easy on the back at only 6lbs 11oz. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Thinline has been restrung with 10-46 strings and dialed in for optimal action and intonation. The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .855" deep at the 1st fret and .900" at the 12th. The maple fretboard has a vintage 7 1/4" radius, and the slender frets are flawless with perfectly rounded crowns. Notes ring out clearly in all positions up the 25 1/2" scale, and the neck is straight with an optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1.650" in width. On the headstock, the original Gotoh Kluson-style tuning machines turn smoothly, and the era-correct block Telecaster Thinline logo is present as wellAll of the electronics work as they should, with the stock Fender Japan wiring harness including Master Volume and Tone controls and a three-way pickup selector switch governing the upgraded Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickup pair. The neck pickup is RWRP, offering hum-canceling operation when both pickups are engaged together. The white pearloid pickguard is original and has excellent depth and dimension, and original hardware includes the bridge with steel saddles and pair of knurled knobs. The bridge is also embossed with an A-prefix serial number, a feature common among many "Crafted in Japan" era Fender Teles. The deep brown transparent finish on the mahogany body is extremely well-kept, showing just a few light finish scratches and minor marks on the body as a whole, mostly relegated to the back. The neck profile is flawless.A black molded hardshell case is included with a Squier badge on the exterior.
