Up for sale, a 1997 Fender Limited Edition Noel Redding signature Jazz Bass model JB65-115NR in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original premium gigbag, hangtags, and case candy. This rare “Crafted in Japan” Jazz Bass was designed to recreate the model played by Redding during his time with the Jimi Hendrix Experience, faithful to vintage specifications. Only 1000 JB65-115NRs were produced, and this bass is hand-signed by Redding on the pickguard (extremely faint, as is common with these instruments).
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this bass weighs 9lbs 6oz. The Fender USA J-Bass Vintage single coils offer midrange punch and treble growl, while rolling off the Tone knob yields a broad, thumpy quality. This Noel Redding Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium U, measuring .835” 1st fret, .995” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 1/2”, bone
-Tuners: Long stem, clover button
-Serialization: “Crafted in Japan" text, gold serial on back of peghead, “Limited Edition” neck plate
-Factory Markings: September, 1997 neck heel stamp
Body Specs:
-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: J-Bass Vintage USA-made single coil x2

This is a well-kept example, with cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish limited to a couple pinhead-sized dings on top at the lower bout. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original Fender premium gigbag is included, along with the hangtags and case candy.
