Up for sale, a 1996 Yamaha Flying Samurai 30th Anniversary Limited Edition model SG-7AS in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Released to commemorate the highest-tier original “Flying Samurai” model, this rare SG-7AS sports a gloss Moss Green finish. The original Flying Samurai guitar was designed in conjunction with Japanese surf guitar legend Takeshi Terauchi, and this unique model’s aesthetics and tone reflect the widespread impact on the surf rock genre in Japan.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck and bound rosewood fretboard, yielding a smooth, balanced natural acoustic tone. The trio of single coil pickups offer bold, sparkling cleans with plenty of meat and roundness, yet clear and defined in every pickup position. The middle and bridge pickup are coupled both visually and tonally, with a blend pot for a smooth gradient between the coils. This SG-7AS weighs 8lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The custom color Moss Green gloss finish is very dark, presenting almost as black, and cosmetic wear on this instrument is limited to light buckle rash across the back (most prominent at the center), a few pinhead-sized dings on the bass side of the top, and some nicks along the lower bout perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss save for a couple shallow marks behind frets 3-4 that don't distract the palm while fretting.

The original black tolex hardshell case with form-fit interior is included.
