Up for sale, a 1996 Maxon FireBlade DS-F1 Distortion Effector in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This Maxon Distortion offering was part of the Japan-exclusive FireBlade series, introduced in 1994 and uncommon outside of its country of origin. The FireBlade pedals were originally designed as an affordable line, but have become prized for their quality tones. The DS-F1 delivers ripping ‘80s-style distortion with chunky lows, harmonically-complex mids and screaming highs, and the three-band EQ allows for a good deal of tonal sculpting to really dial in your optimal tone.
Controls include Master Volume and Gain knobs, with Bass, Mid, and Treble EQ controls. The plastic green/orange enclosure is surprisingly rugged, with only a scant few marks. The original knobs are all present, and the graphics are pristine.
