Up for sale, a 1996 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Produced at the Fujigen factory and uncommon outside of its country of origin, this rare “Made in Japan” Stratocaster features an ash body and factory-installed (and early) trio of Fender USA Texas Special single coil pickups.

Weighing 7lbs 10oz, this Stratocaster features an ash body and a one-piece maple neck. The Texas Special single coils match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered/unbeveled alnico magnets, delivering a bevy of sparkling classic Strat tonalities with a slightly aggressive overwound snap. The bridge pickup delivers plenty of heat and spank and the neck has a full, bell-like quality. This Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
