Up for sale, a 1996 Fender Jazzmaster '59 vintage reissue model, honestly played and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Rarely seen outside its country of origin, this Jazzmaster is one of the last from the original "Made in Japan" era of production. A rare upscale iteration, features include an alder body, original anodized gold aluminum pickguard, and a Mustang-style bridge with individually height adjustable barrel saddles.
A textbook example of everything we love about the Jazzmaster, the instrument has plenty of twang and sparkle on tap, with a range of defined and powerful tones from the two single coil pickups, and warm, wooly sounds when switched to the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. Weighing 7lbs 13oz, we've had this Jazzmaster professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, with 11-49 strings, low action and spot-on intonation (string gauge can be set to buyer's preference prior to shipment).

The three-tone Sunburst gloss finish exhibits prominent vertical checking on the back, and cosmetic wear includes concentrated wear along the lower bout body edge, light buckle rash just below the belly contour, and minor nicks and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss, with some shallow marks along the profile length that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
A black tolex hardshell case is included.
