Up for sale, a 1996 Collings OM1 in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case. One of the premier acoustic builders of the modern era, Collings instruments exude quality, passion, and precise craftsmanship in every aspect of their construction. The Collings OM1 is their perennial favorite orchestra model guitar, with premium features including Pre-War scalloped bracing, tortoise binding, and a high gloss nitro lacquer finish. An early example of this OM1 model, this particular OM1 benefits from a professional neck reset, executed by Collings.

As per all Collings instruments, all woods are acquired, acclimated, and hand-selected by the master luthiers at Collings, and each component is picked with the "whole tonality of the end instrument in mind." This Collings features a Sitka spruce top, Honduran mahogany back/sides/neck, and ebony fingerboard. The OM1 is prized by fingerpickers for its responsive feel, clarity, and even-tempered response, with equal presence and brilliance in all registers. There’s plenty of projection on tap for bigger strums, and this OM1 is vital and full-bodied with dense harmonic overtones and a potency belied by its relatively compact dimensions. Weighing 3lbs 15oz, this OM1 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
