Produced at the Fujigen factory in Japan as part of the S series, this sleek Ibanez features a very slender mahogany body with a dark Jewel Blue finish and an HSH trio of Ibanez Quantum pickups.

The Quantum pickups include a QM1 neck humbucker, QM2 bridge humbucker, and QMS1 middle position single coil; these pickups feature ceramic magnet construction, designed to yield an ideal blend of power and articulation. The humbuckers are warm and full, with more focused aggression at the bridge and broader girth at the neck. The middle position single coil is fat and punchy, complementing the humbuckers well at positions 2 and 4 on the five-way pickup selector switch. The Jewel Blue finish is dark and rich, and cosmetic wear on this guitar is limited to light buckle rash on the back at the upper bout, scuffing on the treble side of the pick path, and just a scant few tiny dings and faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth satin finish, with a couple shallow marks along the profile length that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
